These guidelines exist to keep the game fair, varied, and enjoyable. Submissions that violate them will be denied. Repeated violations may result in upload restrictions.
check_circle What makes a good submission
- Screenshot taken within the Dovedale Railway Roblox game world.
- The location is identifiable from the screenshot - players should be able to reason about where it is.
- Good lighting - the scene is visible and not obscured by fog, night, or effects.
- Reasonable difficulty - not so obvious that every player scores 5000, not so cryptic that no one can guess.
- Accurate map pin - the red pin matches where the screenshot was actually taken.
- Image is clear, not blurry or heavily compressed.
cancel What will get your submission denied
- Screenshots from outside the Dovedale Railway world.
- Images containing Roblox usernames, chat, or player UI overlays that make the location trivially guessable.
- Duplicate or near-duplicate of an existing location.
- Incorrect or deliberately wrong map pin.
- Extremely low quality or unrecognisable image.
- Offensive, inappropriate, or unrelated content.
- Screenshots taken inside vehicles or areas with no visible surroundings.
Tips for a great screenshot
- Use a private server - it keeps the area clear of other players and gives you full control.
- Use freecam (Shift + P) to position your camera freely, or first-person view works too as long as the game UI is hidden and the image isn't too small.
- Hide the game UI and player overheads - freecam has a built-in method to disable both, which is the recommended approach. Alternatively, crop them out of the image as long as it doesn't make the image too small. Do not use any freecam filters or effects.
- Try to keep players and trains out of frame where possible - they date the screenshot and can be distracting.
- Time of day: both day and night screenshots are accepted, but daytime is preferred for visibility.
- Weather: any condition is fine, but clear skies are preferred - fog or heavy rain can obscure key details.
- Identifiability is required - landmarks, track features, structures, or other visual cues must be clearly visible so the location can actually be guessed. If nothing distinctive is in frame, the submission will be rejected.
- Include enough background to give context without making it too easy.
- Label your submission with a rough area name to help moderators verify the pin.
